Celebrating its 19th anniversary in 2012, the Dacula Memorial Day Parade is the ONLY Memorial Day Parade in Gwinnett County with an average of 140 units participating each year.  The Dacula Memorial Day parade was founded by Marvin Atherton and has been a proud tradition in Dacula since 1993.

The parade features Veterans, Veterans Groups, active and reserve service men and women, active and restored military vehicles, marching bands, Girl Scouts, Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, community and school groups, custom designed floats, local businesses, tractors, horses and antique and classic cars and trucks.

The parade begins at Hebron Baptist Church and proceeds down Dacula Road, turns right on Second Ave, crosses Broad Street and ends at Dacula High School.  Families begin to line Dacula Road and Second Avenue long before the parade begins.  There are 8,000 - 10,000 parade watchers lining the parade route as the parade steps off at 10:00 AM.
